Both based in Berlin and close friends in everyday life, pianist Adi Stoenescu and trumpeter Dima Bondarev form a duo that explores the free dialogue between the lyricism of the acoustic piano and the warm expressiveness of the trumpet.
The two have known each other for several years, collaborating in various formulas, including the band KRiSPER, the electric jazz project led by Stoenescu.

In this duo formula, however, their music takes on a different intensity, intimate, spontaneous and with an emphasis on original compositions and contemporary reinterpretations of jazz standards.

Adi STOENESCU studied classical piano for eight years in his hometown of Târgoviște. While a student at the Polytechnic in Bucharest, he began studying jazz improvisation with pianist and composer Marius Popp.

In the past years, he was present in the line ups of the most important jazz festivals in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

Currently based in Berlin, Adi Stoenescu coordinates the band KRISPER and explores contemporary jazz through his original compositions.

Dima BONDAREV was born in 1984, in Ukraine, and began playing the trumpet at the age of nine, starting with classical music, before discovering his passion for jazz. Between 2008 and 2013, he became a prominent presence on the Ukrainian jazz scene, playing at major festivals and touring with the Acoustic Quartet and Magnifika Group.

He studied, among others, with Ambrose Akinmusire and Sebastian Studnitzky and collaborated with several world known artists. He played at multiple international festivals and won prestigious jazz awards, such as the German Jazz Prize, in 2025.
Since 2013, Bondarev lives and works in Berlin.
